True Crime Books
True Crime Books
When we talk true crime books, the first few authors that come to mind are John Grisham – but hold on a second, that’s wrong!
True Crime means exactly that – the story is real and based on real people and victims. The real crime writer usually does some intensive research and interviews with witnesses, freed-suspects and occassionally revisit the crime scene to collect facts on the story, adhereing to strict journalistic rules.
There are highly-speculative true crimes books that are released mainly to cash in on a very public crime case.
Most true crime books are real, non-fiction accounts of real crimes. However there are some true-crime fiction books out there that are based loosely on similar cases ( this is where John Grisham comes to mind)
Read our reviews on some crime books we find interesting:
Faceless Killers by Henning Mankell
World Without End by Ken Follett (we quite like this particular one. And you can get a copy for cheap here)
Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
Persuader by Jack Reacher
